Doug Houser’s life is a tapestry woven with resilience, faith, and service. Born and raised in the picturesque Pacific Northwest, Doug’s journey began with a deep appreciation for nature and community. After serving in the Army during the Vietnam War, he dedicated his life to saving others as a member of a wilderness search and rescue team. His passion for science and education led him to earn a biology degree from Whitworth University, further equipping him for his life’s mission.
In 1978, Doug’s path took him across the country with a Christian band to New Jersey, where he played a pivotal role in planting new churches. As a pastor, he established Christian schools, fostering environments where faith and learning flourished. Doug also brought his expertise to public education, teaching biology and forensic science for two decades.
